A new market is set to open on Saturday 26 September in St Paul’s School, Primrose Hill, and organiser Mike Norledge is bursting with enthusiasm.
‘I realised that the area is crying out for a weekly food market,’ he told me, ‘so I reached out to the school, who were keen do do something for the community. Shopping at markets is a choice more people should make as the produce is fresher, tastier and better value. By shopping at Primrose Hill Market, every pound spent will support a local cheesemonger, butcher, baker or dairy farmer, so they can reinvest in doing what they do.’
With thirty stalls selling quality produce such as fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, fish and bread, plus an all-important coffee stand, Primrose Hill Market will offer an attractive alternative to the supermarket for the weekly shop.
Excellent initiative, Mike – I’m looking forward to doing my shopping!
