Local, good quality food is becoming an increasing priority for anyone who cares about what they eat. To celebrate Urban Food Fortnight and British Food Fortnight, Primrose Hill grocer Melrose and Morgan is celebrating its local suppliers and like-minded craft producers with a ‘London Artisans’ campaign.
Melrose and Morgan are rightly proud of the fact that alongside products made by excellent small producers, over half the food it sells is hand-made in small batches in their kitchens in Chalk Farm.
The first event in the London Artisans series was a ‘Weekend Brunch to Lunch’ tasting, hosted by head chef Mauro Mateus, and as I tucked in to samples of weekend food suggestions, he talked me though the recipes and ingredients. Click on the gallery below to find out more…
