SO WHAT HAPPENED AT THE MACMILLAN ‘THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS’ BALL..?

Well for one thing, £280 000 was raised – and counting!

The glamorous ‘Through the Looking Glass’ Ball, held at the Savoy last week, is a major fundraiser for the excellent Macmillan Cancer Support charity and was generously supported by Primrose Hill favourites Melrose and Morgan, Jack O’Shea and Nuyu Salon.

Swing group Jack Pack and violin double act Fuse entertained and the evening was as exciting and magical as promised.

Money raised will go towards supporting people with cancer.

And if you wish you’d been there, it’s not too late to share the magic: next up is the Macmillan Annual Celebrity Christmas Stocking Auction.
Here’s what the team at Macmillan told me:

“The Celebrity Christmas Stocking Auction takes place on 8 December at the Park Lane Hotel to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
An Auction will take place where top celebrities auction their dream stockings to wake up to this Christmas. The celebrities supporting this year are; Naomie Harris, Jason Donovan, Samantha Bond, Cressida Bonas, Craig Revel Horwood, Jim Carter, Camilla Kerslake, Alfred Molina & Joanna Lumley.
Each stocking includes an exclusive personal experience or item from the celebrity, such as champagne afternoon tea with Joanna Lumley or a private tour around the Bond Museum with Naomie Harris.
Don’t miss out on this wonderful Christmas evening and the opportunity to win some truly amazing prizes. The champagne reception will start at 6.30 followed by a sumptuous three course dinner. Dress code: Black tie”
