CHERRY WOODS

CHERRY WOODS, SKINCARE SUPREMO

As is always the case with top facialists, Cherry Woods is her own best advertisement, all even, glowing skin and sparkling smiley eyes.  She had invited me to her studio in Richmond to experience one of her facials; and let me tell you, the journey from Primrose Hill was well worth it.

We began with an in-depth discussion about my skincare routine and my skin’s behaviour, with Cherry imparting all sorts of wisdom and expertise while putting together a picture of exactly what my skin needed and how it would react to her various processes.  Then it was onto the supremely comfortable bed with its orthopaedic mattress and cosy covers for the facial to begin in earnest.

Cherry’s products smelt beautiful and felt luscious on my skin and were taken from the ranges she uses: Environ, HydroPeptide Technology, Epionce and Eminence.  And what a facial she provides!  Facial massage, sound waves, stem cell cream, reflexology, neck, back and shoulder massage, all aimed at attacking lines, slackness, tension and redness.  My skin was left radiant, calm and  exuding confidence.  Cherry recommends leaving make-up off for a while after one of her treatments, although she offered a dusting of minerals; I was more than happy to leave with my newly-beautiful bare skin unconcealed and unadorned.

Cherry is an expert in her field, and along with her skill she offers such a lovely cheery supportiveness that you feel as if you have been friends for years.  After two hours in her company I wafted back to Primrose Hill relaxed, cheerful and aglow, knowing that something truly wonderful had happened to my skin.

Having arrived in Richmond with plenty of time to spare for a mooch around the shops and a stroll along the river, I practically felt like I’d been on an mini-break by the time Cherry was done with me.  The journey (an hour to get there at the tail end of the rush hour, thirty-five minutes to get back in the middle of the afternoon) was well worth it and I can highly recommend the Cherry Woods experience as that holy grail of skincare: a non-invasive treatment that really works.

Cherry treated me to the Bloom Facial, which usually costs £105 and takes 65 minutes.
