THE FITZROY CLUB

SATURDAY NIGHT’S ALRIGHT FOR LAUGHING!

The second Fitzroy Club Comedy Night takes place next Saturday, 17 September, 7pm, and you won’t want to miss it.  Last time it was standing room only and the bar was drunk dry for the first time in the Primrose Hill Community Association’s history!

Organiser Trish Bertram told me what’s in store:
“We have a great line up ready and waiting in the wings…Back by popular demand, rising comedy circuit star  Pauline Eyre will be our lovely MC again and we have some fabulous funny Comedy Circuit regulars lined up!
BUT!  we’re also still  looking for some local talent! So if you’ve ever fancied ‘having a go’  – all you have to do is ‘show us the funny :-)’; jokes,  funny stories or whatever you fancy – the floor is yours for 5 minutes.
Apply to comedy@thefitzroy.club to ask for a spot!
Last time our best local newcomer ‘Comedy Cupcake’ was won by local historian Martin Sheppard who told us some colourful and sometimes  hair raising stories about Primrose Hill’s rich history.

This time we have a bespoke “Primrose Hill” selection of delicious chocolates donated by the award winning www.5DChocolates.com up for grabs by the pluckiest local winner !
Grateful thanks also to The Greenberry Cafe for sponsoring our night !”
Personally I can’t imaging anything more terrifying than standing up in front of a crowd trying to be funny, but if you’re brave enough, give it a go!  Otherwise, like me, go for the easier option of taking your place in the audience for a good old laugh.
