I’m not the greatest fan of Frieze. Art: yes! Depriving us of access to vast acres of much-loved and well-used Regent’s Park for two months in order to offer four days of viewing at upwards of £37.65 a go: not so much. I can’t help feeling that there must be somewhere in London where art can be shown without hogging our communal back garden.
But one thing about Frieze I love: the Sculpture Garden. Huge sculptures and installations craned into the Avenue Gardens in the south-east corner of the park and left lying around for us all to enjoy. iLPH thoroughly approves.
