Stars including David Beckham, Sienna Miller, Ed Sheeran and Andy Murray will give people the chance to add some A-List sparkle to their Christmas – and all for a brilliant cause.

The celebrities have all signed or donated a range of incredible prizes to be auctioned off online from today, ahead of Macmillan Cancer Support’s brand new Winter Gala later this month.

The lots include a pair of earrings donated by Sienna Miller, worn by her on stage throughout the recent run of West End play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and a David Cup shirt signed by Andy Murray, donated by his mother Judy.

All money raised will fund more Macmillan Cancer Support nurses, who provide emotional, financial, medical and practical support to people with cancer and their families when they need it most.

The prizes, and a host of other money-can’t-buy gifts, are open to bids from today atwww.macmillanwintergala.com. They also include:

  • a set of Smythson playing cards signed by celebrities including Jude Law, David Beckham, Ed Sheeran and Hugh Grant.
  • a styling session with Celebrity Stylist Alex Longmore, who has dressed the likes of Danni Minogue, Julie Walters and Jodie Kidd
  • one week’s stay at Soneva Fushi in the Maldives with a complementary Robinson Crusoe picnic for two
  • four nights luxury catered accommodation in a Zermatt chalet for up to ten guests, with breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner provided
  • a bespoke Fielding and Nicholson suit
  • a gym membership at Knightsbridge’s exclusive Grace Belgravia
  • and many more…

The online auction be live until 12pm the day before the star-studded event, which will take place at London’s Grade-I listed venue, The Guildhall on Wednesday, November 29.

It will then re-open again for bids from guests on the night, which will be hosted by comedian Jo Brand. There will also be fine dining and entertainment from soul singer and M People star Heather Small and BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills.

A separate live auction, for guests only, will also offer attendees another chance to win a host of incredible prizes – including a Balthazar of champagne signed by Absolutely Fabulous’ Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders.

Tickets are still available and all money raised through the event will fund more Macmillan nurses, who are there for patients and their loved ones for everything from information about treatment, care and finances, to offering a helping hand at home or in hospital.

Macmillan hopes to raise enough from the Winter Gala to pay for at least five new roles around the country to help improve the lives of even more people living with cancer.

Events manager Rebecca Harfield added: “We’re really excited about the range of exclusive prizes we’ve been donated. Our nurses do so much to improve the lives of people affected by cancer and their families by providing them advice, emotional support and care, and our new festive fundraiser – and these money-can’t-buy prizes – will enable them to reach even more.”
