Primo is a wonderful Italian delicatessen in the heart of the village, serving wonderful supplies of fresh food such as cheeses, cooked meats, olives and pasta as well as store-cupboard items, including amazing oils and wines. All much enjoyed at iLPH HQ!
Adam wanted to know more about what makes the Primo team tick, so he gave his ‘Adam Asks’ questionnaire to Natale and Natasha, who gave the following answers…

Some residents in Primrose Hill suggested to open a shop. The way that Primrose Hill keeps a sense of a village which is unique to London in itself.
What were you doing before you opened Primo? Where does your love of food come from?
I was always working in the same sector. When I was younger, I grew up in a village and as my parents were farmers I would help when they were making pomodoro sauce or wine.
What has been your favourite part of running Primo in Primrose Hill? Is there any specific event or moment you would like to share with our readers?
As well as meeting/serving people, we loved getting to know their furry friends.
What are your most popular products? What are your personal favourites?
Our homemade lasagna, parmigiana, tiramisu. Our selection of extra virgin olive oil.
What are the challenges of running a deli? How do you overcome them?
It’s a very demanding job that requires you to keep on top of things. With the help of our children. We are a family-oriented business.
What advice would you give anyone wanting to start a business locally?
Primrose Hill is an amazing place.
It’s wonderful to have Primo among the other great shops on Regents Park Road, offering their wonderful supplies. If you haven’t visited, you must. There is always a warm welcome.

Primo is fantastic. Great cheeses and wines, plus their fresh arancini are the ultimate lunch in Primrose Hill (even better than the bagels).
Love Primo. Fantastic cheeses and wines, but best of all are their fresh arancini. They go quickly, so reserve in advance!
