ARVO’s FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH

Off the two of us headed to seek a Primrose Hill brunch; undeterred by the twenty minute queue we chose Arvo, on Regent’s Park Road and in the centre of the village. Full of happy looking young people the east mediterranean decor and seating and service are nice and relaxing and offsets the busy nature of the brunch service.

The iLPH team today decided to do a brunch review at Arvo. Arvo are known to be a restaurant on Regent’s Park Road that serves brunch, coffee and cocktails. Arvo usually always has a long queue outside of the restaurant thoughout the week.

Arvo has a great selection of beverages ranging from smoothies to cocktails and a super brunchesque selection. And very reasonably priced. My favourite tipple was the Stellenbosch rose though was delighted to be able to have a Modelo!

We started with the excellent and fruity Cherry Berry and Acai Kick smoothies. Starting with hummus the dip and nice looking homemade pitta and then in to the full English and The East. Both spot on and the East illustrated the interesting array of options on the menu comprising a scrambled egg on herb sprinkled sourdough with beef sujuk on top rounded off with wild rocket and a grilled tomato. A good combination of east and west brunch!

Should we have the dessert? Well we have a duty to our readers to explore so we ventured in to a Challah French toast with caramelised banana and a stack of pancakes that were, wait for it, vegan. Both actually quite light and delicious.

Our work done, we insisted on leaving a tip as the service had been well paced and very friendly. Now that is a way to start a Sunday!
