Great double event at St Mark’s Friday (13 June) at 19:30.
A brilliant concert by The Lacock Scholars, lasting just over an hour, will be followed by the launch of Martin Sheppard’s new book, Primrose Hill. All those who come to the concert are invited to the book launch, where wine and soft drinks will be provided without charge.
Tickets for the concert (and book launch) are £15 each. They can be got on The Lacock Scholars website or at the door. Buying on the website will ease any queuing at the door.
The Lacock Scholars mostly consist of young Oxford and Cambridge choral scholars working in London coming together as a choir of outstanding musical ability and quality. The Lacock Scholars’s performance is based around the natural world through its diversity, abundance, and joy now that we have finally reached the summer season.
Much loved local historian Martin Sheppard will be holding the launch of his new book called Primrose Hill after the concert finishes. A new and much shorter and highly readable paperback version of the respected tome Primrose Hill: A History (2013). The book launch will be a wonderful opportunity to find out more about our historical Primrose Hill community.
