Sam’s Cafe’s Supper Club is known as being an event where various friends and neighbours come together to dine at the homely iconic cafe on the corner of Fitzroy Road. The club is open to all and organises a two course supper dinner with a wine and a coffee, on the last Tuesday of each month. A great way to meet the locals and enjoy the super food (and staff!) at Sam’s.

Sam’s has deservedly become a “goto” destination within the community; and this “club” reinforces the ethos that has made it so popular. Easy to book, I went this week and shared a table with five others that I met for the first time. We had a nice diverse group and chatted as we ate; the favourite topic was living in and around Primrose Hill! And iLPH!
Sam’s hosts everything really well and the space and table design is so flexible that it was a super setting. The interior is also superbly warm and photogenic! After the ice breaker of a glass of Montepulciano we tucked in to the filling spanakopita or lasagne. Always tasty home made dishes at Sam’s! And the Sam’s take on Eton Mess made the supper; who doesn’t enjoy sponge cake, berries and cream! I treated myself to another glass of the red as others finished with coffee as the warm night drew in. I always know the wine at Sam’s will be well chosen and good value.
So if you fancy an enjoyable supper, in the company of new interesting friends that what once were strangers, served by one of the best staffs around, then you know where to head on the last Tuesday of the month!
