EVENING DRINKS AT THE ENGINEER PUB

On a bright Tuesday evening as the sun was setting iLPH settled down to review the iconic experience of drinking beer at the Engineer Pub. It’s a tough job but somebody has to do it…

One of Primrose Hill’s best-loved pubs, the Engineer never lets you down. What immediately strikes you when walking in is their colourful, old beer taps. The surrounding area of the pub makes you feel like you are sitting in a victorian setting that has been crafted together by engineers.

Neck Oil Session IPA Beavertown

This beer firstly immediately smelled of passion fruit and tasted sharply fruity of a passion fruit fusion. The taste of passion fruit came out more strongly at the middle of the glass. It then tasted more lightly of passion fruit from that point. The IPA left a sharp taste in my mouth of passion fruit fusion. One for tropical fruit lovers!

Camden Pale Ale

It firstly smelled of sweet light butter. When drinking the pale ale it tasted sweetly of light butter. Drinking the beer brought images to my mind of drinking light butter based in a sweet liquid. The pale ale left a sweet light buttery taste in my mouth. So if you hadn’t guessed, the main note that struck me was: butter!

That bar mostly was mostly populated with groups of friends and dating couples. The staff did a stupendously hospitable job. From being in the environment it was clear everyone was satisfied and happy, and the general atmosphere in the pub refelcted that.
