I have heard from Sam Larkin, owner of Nuyu salon on Princess Road, who tells of a disappointing experience with her insurance company.
She says “I have recently had my business insurance claim denied even though the wording would suggest I am covered for pandemics. It’s frustrating as I had an email at the beginning to say I would be covered then they did a u-turn.
“I have therefore contact Sir Keir Starmer’s office asking them to lobby the government to encourage insurance companies to review their decisions. Sir Keir’s office have responded positively to this request, however I’m guessing the more voices there are the greater the chance of a positive outcome.”
